Prepare dining facility, serve meals to residents and guests and clean dining facility by performing the following duties in accordance with the Ohio Department of Health Rules and the standards set forth by the facility.
Maintain Rights of Residents as set forth by the Ohio Department of Health Laws and Regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned with or without reasonable accommodations.
Learns identity of residents and individual nutritional needs.
Assists ambulatory residents to meals.
Assists with walker and wheelchairs.
Presents menu to residents and guests, answers questions, and takes orders for meals.
Relays order to kitchen and serves courses from kitchen to residents and guests.
Observes resident/guests to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meals have been completed.
Accepts payment for guest meals and turns in to supervisor.
Clears and resets counters or tables at conclusion of each course.
Sets tables for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Washes dishes, pots and pans, and operates dish machine.
Delivers snacks to residents’ room.
Prepares beverages as assigned.
Cleans and sanitizes work areas and equipment as assigned.
Knowledgeable and operates kitchen appliances, cleaning equipment appropriately.
Reports to work as scheduled in a clean, neat uniform.
Attends educational in-service training as required.
Performs all duties in accordance with food service guidelines, policies and procedures presented verbally and/or by written instructions.
Performs other related dietary tasks as assigned.
Knowledgeable of and implements all safety, universal precautions, and Company policies/procedures for the protection of residents, coworkers, and self.
